AnTuTu has released the chart of the most powerful smartphones tested using the AnTuTu benchmarking solution in January of this year.

AnTuTu has released three charts, one for the results regardless of the operating system, as well as additional results for iOS and Android. However the results are predictable and we’ve seen not many surprises so the top 10 most powerful smartphones on the market list remains almost the same.

The general chart confirms – once again – that Apple owns the most powerful chipset on the market right now. The A10 fusion chipset which we can find under the hood of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphone continues to occupy the first two slots, being followed by powerful Android smartphones such as the OnePlus 3T, LeEco Pro 3, Lenovo ZUK Edge, and two models from Smartisan: M1 and M1L. The last two places on the list go to Xiaomi Mi5S and Xiaomi Mi5S Plus.

The chart dedicated to iOS devices is not at all surprising. We’re dealing with the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 on the first two places, followed by the iPad Pro, the version with the 9.7 inches display, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone SE, iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Mini 4 and the iPhone 6. The fact that the iPad Pro with the 12,9 inches display is not included suggests that there aren’t many users who tested this model in AnTuTu because it is surely more powerful than most devices included in the chart.

And, finally, the chart dedicated to Android devices includes the OnePlus 3T on the main position followed by the LeEco 3, Lenovo ZUK Edge, the two Smartizan smartphones, One Plus 3 and the two smartphones from Xiaomi. The last two places go to Vivo Xplay 6 and Xiaomi Mi5.

The results are – however – under a small question mark now that it was proved that OnePlus cheated in AnTuTu and Geekbench for the OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 models. Also, these scores are averages from users who tested the devices in January of this year.

These charts will change starting with March of this year when the new flagship smartphones from many manufacturers will hit the market, all probably equipped with Snapdragon 821. Also, by the end of the spring we might see the iPhone 7 surpassed as devices powered by Snapdragon 830 and Snapdragon 836 will hit the market, as well a smartphones from Samsung with the Exynos 9 chipset.
