Drake says he was labeled “Rapper” at the Grammy awards because he’s black

Drake, the highest grossing artist world wide last year he’s very upset because he was labeled as a “rapper” at the Grammy awards only because he is black and he refused to accept the award.

Drake won the Grammy award for Bets Rap / Song Performance and Best Rap Song with the “Hotline Bling” song.

However, Drake was upset that the “Once Dance” hit was not nominated although it is the most popular song on Spotify, one of the world’s most popular streaming platforms.

“I’m a black artist and apparently a rapper, even if “Hotline Bling” is not rap, Drake says. The artist is known for rarely giving interviews.

“They are only nominating me in the rap category probably because I rapped in the past or maybe because i’m black” Drake added.

Drake thinks that his hits are pop songs but they are never acknowledge as such. ” I want to be like Michael Jackson, I want to be like the artists I admire” Drake says, who missed the Grammy awards ceremony as he was touring in Europe.

Drake, who is one of the highest grossing artists last year, was also nominated for best album at the Grammy awards this year.
